Good job figuring this out, Ryan. I wondered about the USB the other day as well! THANKS! I raped the like button. if it's the same method before, but you're not getting the content missing message (which was key) then maybe try moving one of the packs to a USB stick, then when you disconnect, pull USB. when you sign back in wait for message, then plug in USB, wait a second, and continue on? I'm just throwing this out there, I have no idea if this would work, but if you're trying to get the content missing, this may do it.

Good job, Ryan. I will try this later today. The lagswitch method was pissing me off, although I got it to work every now and then.

Here's a method for not having to go to the dashboard everytime you bring in a car. Before you start you need to start downloading something big such as a game (look for the games that are free for gold users). Anything will do just make sure it's large enough for the whole of this tutorial. This is required if you don't want to dashboard each time you bring over a vehicle. 0. Move your game save over to your HDD if you haven't already. 1. Go to Xbox Home > Settings > System > Storage > Locate a DLC pack to move over to your USB. Any will do. 2. Start GTA V and head into an Online session. I like using an invite only session so there is no one there to bother me. 3a. Go to the location where you want to bring in your car from SP - I just use my garage. 3b. Either change your glasses to force a save, or leave GTA Online and re-join another session. 3c. Once you have your spawn set, load up the Xbox Games Store and signout while it's loading (you can wait until the Xbox Games Store has loaded up, or you can sign out during the "bumps"). 4. You'll get kicked into the prologue. Remove your USB, then sign back in and load up your game save with your vehicles on it. 5. Get your vehicle and go over to where you left your character in MP as this is where the vehicle will spawn in MP. 6. Plug your USB back in, then while still in the vehicle press Start > Online > Play Online > Go, you'll get an error saying you need to download DLC, this is good. 7a. Find the DLC that you moved over to your USB and download it again. 7b. Active Downloads should pop up automatically (if not then press the Xbox Guide button, go to 'Games & Apps' and then go down to 'Active Downloads'), click on the GTA DLC, go to 'Change Storage Device' and move it to your USB, then hit 'Download Now' -- this is why you started the download earlier as you cannot change the storage location if you only have one download. 7c. Once it's done downloading (should just go from 1%-100% as you already have it on your USB) you can either press B and you'll get taken into an online public session, or you can join an invite/session from a friend (such as crappy's lobby). If you choose to join a friend I like waiting five seconds or so, then press B to back out of the store, you'll get asked if you want to join their session, press A to confirm. 8. You should spawn back where you left your character and you should see your vehicle if done correctly. 9. Have fun and store the vehicle if possible! Credit to SilverFox for giving me the suggestion to try this and of course Ryan for the SP2MP method. Let me know if there is something wrong, I've been up for god knows how long...

What! this is very similar to what i have been doing when not spawning cars in game with my ISO. On accident and i Never know it would lead to a SP2MP glitch. My xkey Xbox does not have an internal hard drive and at times when i pull the thumb drive out to mod a car i kinda dislodge the one with disc 2 and my Live profile. Also when i get updates the downloads will go to on a slim the slot on the right. If I forget to put them in right before an update I at times pull the drive out to mod a car and it kills my game cause i pulled it out with an update/dlc on it. Those were all mistakes in the past. Now i'm very aware to remove my car mod drive and only leave the Profile/DLC drive in when we get updates cause it used to seriously boil me over when i'd fuck my game up. hahaha... Awesome find. I need this for supers; even though i can spawn them i need to be able to join someones game/race/mission to store them.

I've thought of a method, no idea if it'll work as I've no use for SP2MP, but here it goes.
You'll need two USBs, one for your save file, one for the DLC.
Do everything as stated above and remove the USB for DLC whenever needed, then insert the save file USB and load it up.
Continue the following steps etc, & start online, when it prompts you to download DLC, head to game store & insert USB with DLC.
It'll save downloading time & copying save file from USB to HDD. Just a thought that came to my mind. I'll try it if I can find another thumbdrive later..

Anyone able to shed some light on my situation. My xbox doesn't give me the option to change storage device at any point in the download process. Can someone tell me why this might be happening and what I can do to fix it. I have the thumb drive plugged in but the game seems to default it to the hard drive.
