Since some of you peoples are good with computers, figured someone might be able to help me out with this problem. Some weird ad program was making advertisements show up, embedded into text on websites, even though I had Adblock Plus on. Anyway I looked up how to get rid of it and first try was uninstalling some programs on my computer that might be related to it.
After all was said and done, the ad program was still functioning. Instead, I just reset Google Chrome's settings and now it's gone, so that issue was over and done with. Problem was, now my computer completely lacked sound. I then had to research that issue and I remember uninstalling something called IDT Audio, so figured that might have had to do something with it.
I found that someone had the same issue as me, and installed audio drivers from Realtek. I did so, and now my computer has audio again. Problem now is, the audio is faded. It's a lot lower than it should be. A good way to describe it is imagine headphones near you, at full volume, but not on your head, so you hear the music as if it sounds like it's coming from the distance. Anyway yeah, I've been searching around for a solution, but haven't found anything. Was hoping someone here might be able to throw me some suggestions.
I know little to nothing about computers too when it comes to specs and such, so bear with me D:

You should sign up on the HP Support Forums or search for your product # and "audio issue". It looks like a lot of people are having the same issue as you said and they said to try downloading the plug in "IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver". It may take a few days to get a response if you post a new thread but that is worst case scenario imo. Good luck!
